Winthrop Art Association Newsletter

February 2011 Newsletter

The Winthrop Art Association would like to wish you all a happy new year.

The 2011 WAA Art Festival is coming up Saturday, April 30th and Sunday, May 1st.  The hours of the festival are Saturday 12 pm to 6 pm and Sunday,
11 am to 4 pm.  At 2-4 pm there will be a reception for everyone who wishes to attend.

In this newsletter you will find your application for the Spring Art Festival and Raffle Tickets.  We would like to get a jump on the season and think of spring, after this brutal winter.

Please try to sell the raffle tickets as the revenue from them helps defray the cost of the Festival.  Tickets are a $1 each and 6 for $5.  There are various prizes from donations plus cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25.

Please read the applications carefully if you are entering the festival.

As you know the WAA does not have demonstrations every month.  Our last demo was in December.  Our next demonstration will be on Tuesday, April 5th, at 7:30 PM at the Winthrop Senior Center, 35 Harvard Ave., Winthrop.

The WAA wishes congratulations to both Beverly and Eva.
