“Spring Art Festival!”

Festival is almost here.  It will be the weekend of April 27th and 28th. Your applications are enclosed.  Also enclosed you will find raffle tickets for you to buy or sell to help defray the cost of the festival.  There are cash prizes and several donated prizes.  The tickets are $1 for one ticket and $5 for 6 tickets.

The Festival is held at the EB Newton Cultural Center, 45 Pauline St., Winthrop – 1st floor. 

Dues for the 2012-2013 season.  (Our season runs from September to September)  Send Dues to our membership chair, Brenda Curry, 291 River Rd., Winthrop, MA 02152 or you could mail to our PO Box (WAA, PO Box 5210010).  Dues are $20 for the year.

The next demonstration will be on Tuesday, April 2nd.  The demonstrator will be Lynne Fahn Rosenberg.  Lynne who is a multi talented artist will be demonstrating 3 dimentional collage and paper sculpture.   “Sring Time” Art Exhibit Hosted by Beacon Photography Featuring artists Frank Costantino, Dawn Mahoney, Elaine Abrams & Roger Giger.  Grand Opening Weekend:  Thursday & Friday, March 21-22, 7-9pm, Saturday, March 23, 10am to 2pm.  Exhibit Dates & Times: March 21 – April6, Mon.-Sat.10am to 2pm.

Pen & Ink Workshop with Dawn Mahoney- March 30, 10am to 1pm
Watercolor Demo by Frank Costantino – April 6, 10am to 12pm

Art Lessons:

The WAA has memorial or in honor of cards available for our members.  The cost is a dollar each.  They may be purchased from Beverly Barisano.  Contact her at 617-846-5305.

The Clock Tower Gallery Exhibits

Gallery hours are Thursdays 6 to 8pm, Saturdays 2 to 5pm.  New Exhibit—Boston Press Photographers Association Award Winning Photographs-Photographs taken by members of the BPPA, the oldest press and television photographers association in the United States, and given special recognition for their excellence. March 9 through April 20, 2013.
