Demonstration, Tuesday, April 1st

Join us for a “Taste of India”.  We will show how to wrap a Sari, color a Rangoli, and receive a Bindi and more.

Take a slide show trip thru “Incredible & Colorful” India.  We will visit Bangalore, the Taj Mahal, At Agra, Jaipur, Deogarh, Udaipur, Varansi & Sarai At Toria.

ART FESTIVAL

This years Festival will be the weekend of April 25-27.

We have changed the order of the festival this year. 
We will have the opening reception and awards on Friday, the 25th from 7-9PM. 
On Saturday and Sunday, the 26th and 27th the whole Festival opens with the craft tables. 
We are looking forward to this new Festival concept.  See the enclosed Applications for all the festival information.

THIS YEAR THE WAA IS MORNING THE PASSING OF TWO VERY IMPORTANT AND BELOVED MEMBERS OF OUR BOARD

DOROTHY/D’VORA MAHONEY AND PHYLLIS SWARTZ.  THE 2014 FESTIVAL WILL BE DEDICATED TO THEIR HONOR.

Fall Day Trip

We have a fall day trip coming up.  The date will be determined.  We are going for a second chance to Mystic, CT.  For info contact Dawn at 617-846-2644 and you can sign-up at the Festival.

The Clock Tower Gallery Exhibits

The next show: Revised and Revisited – The Art of Destiny Palmer and Stephen Hamilton.  Opening Reception, March 7, 2014, 6:30 – 10:30, the closing reception, April 11, 2014, 6:30 – 10:30.  Gallery hours: Thursday, 6-8pm and Saturday 2-4pm.

The Medford Arts Center (MACI) is seeking artists of various media for the first annual juried “Into the Mystic” Environmental Art and Film Festival for June 20-22, 2014 which will be held at Hyatt Place, 116 Riverside Ave., Medford.  The opening reception is Friday, June 20th, from 6-9 pm.  The festival is a collaboration of MACI, Green Medford, Mystic River Watershed Association.  The City of Medford’s Office of Energy and Environment, and the Friends of the Mystic River.

The theme of the art is “The Mystic River” in any season.  It can be representational, literal, or use found materials from the river area.

  • Each artist may submit two pieces maximum.

  • Deadline for applicants:  April 15, 2014
