The WAA will open the season with a demonstration of body art. We will have Tattoo Artist Joe ZAZA Peterson present the Art and History of Tattooing. His web site is “ZAZAink”
The demonstration will take place at the new cultural center at the E.B. Newton School. The date is Tuesday, October 4th. At 7:30 PM.
We are planning a fall day trip to Ogunquit, ME. on Sunday, October 23rd.
The cost is $35 per person. (A $15 deposit is required) All are welcome!
We will start at the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, then to Perkins Cove for lunch on our own, after lunch a stop at the Kittery Outlets where we will be given a coupon book for the outlet stores. After shopping we will venture home.
The WAA has an ongoing exhibit of our members on the first floor of the Cultural Center.

Beverly Brody Barisano will have a one-woman exhibit at the Clock Tower Gallery in the Cultural Center
from September 12th thru October 28th. Opening reception will be October 16th, Sunday, 1PM to 5PM.
Gallery hours are Fridays 6PM to 8PM and Sundays 2PM to 5PM.

The cost is $20 for one and a half hours.
Dawn also has an art class at the Senior Center at 35 Harvard St., Winthrop on Thursday, 10AM – 12PM.
The cost of this class is only $6 because it is a Senior Center Offering.

Sad News: Life member Allen Moran passed away Tuesday, August 30th. There will be no service. His ashes will be sent back to his family in Bridgeport, CT. If you would like to honor him please give a donation to the American Diabetes Foundation in his name
September is the beginning of the WAA’s fiscal year. If you wish to stay a member of the WAA please send in $20 for one year’s membership.
