Dear Members,

Happy New Year!  As we gather around our tables and traditions, we’re grateful for you – the artists, volunteers, donors, teachers, students, and friends who bring our Art Association to life.  Your creativity fills our galleries, your generosity sustains our programs, and your spirit builds a community where art is seen, shared, and celebrated.

Thank you for showing up: for hanging shows, mentoring young creators, donating supplies, applauding at openings, and believing in the power of the arts to connect us.  Because of you, we’ve made room for new voices, new work, and new wonder this year.

Wishing you a warm and art-filled 2006 – may your days be rich with color, conversation, and the people who inspire you.

With gratitude,

Winthrop Art Association

"The Birches" Mixed Media - Maureen MacAdams

The Winthrop Art Association invited artists and members of the community to an afternoon of appreciation and conversation on September 28 at the E.B. Newton Cultural Center.  Refreshments were served.  Thanks to hospitality committee members Sandy Joneck-Schiff and Joan Bobrycki.

Artwork by members was on display and a live demonstration by artist Trevor Nicholas, Jr. was enjoyed by all.

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and would like to see more Community Gathering events!
